Lately, banlist updates have become a regular bi-monthly event — a constant commitment from the committee to ensure a balanced and ever-evolving format. However, as time has passed, Centurion has reached a satisfying level of stability, and the interventions needed to maintain game balance have become less frequent.
This situation led us to reflect on the actual necessity of maintaining the traditional bi-monthly cycle. Regular announcements without substantial changes risk creating unnecessary expectations and may dilute the importance of each communication. Furthermore, some cards currently on the banlist that could be reconsidered for reintroduction require careful case-by-case evaluation. Rushing these decisions just to meet a predetermined deadline does not seem to be the most effective strategy.
For these reasons, we have decided to change our approach. The next banlist update, originally scheduled for May 10, 2025, will be postponed to June 17, 2025. This date may shift by a few days to allow us to organize a dedicated live stream, where we will analyze the state of the format in detail and discuss any potential changes with you.
Looking ahead, our goal is to adopt an approach that allows us to act when necessary, avoiding redundant announcements with no changes, and dedicating the proper time for discussion and thorough testing of every possible modification.
That said, we also want to reassure you: if any urgent issues arise that require prompt intervention, we will not hesitate to take action with extraordinary updates. Our priority will always be the health of the format and the gameplay experience of all participants.
